Our calling: a heart for the vulnerable
At 1:27, our journey began with a profound belief: a divine call to care for orphans and widows, as inspired by James 1:27. This isn't just a verse; it's the living foundation of our ministry. It stems from a personal conviction, a consistent prayer to feel God's heart for those in need, which ultimately led us to become kinship guardians and discover the urgent need for support in this vital area.

Easing the journey for kinship & foster families
The path to becoming a foster or kinship family can be overwhelming. We experienced this firsthand when suddenly faced with an emergency custody situation and the need for a rapid home study. The stress was immense. We realized that while our church family rallied to provide the necessary support to prepare our home, many families face this challenge alone. We saw a critical gap – and a way to help.

Inspired by a divine command
James 1:27 is more than just our name; it's our guiding principle, a direct command from God. We are called to care for the vulnerable. This divine instruction resonates deeply with other scriptures, like Mark 10:16, where Jesus blesses children, affirming God's immense love for them. Mark 9:36-37 further emphasizes that embracing these children is in parallel to embracing Christ Himself.

Every child deserves a safe home
While not everyone is called to physically take in children or become foster parents, everyone can play a vital role. The heart of 1:27 is to empower those who do step up, by providing essential 'home study kits' that ensure safety and ease the transition. We bridge the gap, allowing individuals, churches, and businesses to support those who open their homes and hearts to children in need. Your contribution makes a direct impact.
Our love for children who need safe families and our love for christ
This is the essence of 1:27. Every kit, every partnership, every act of support is a testament to our faith and our commitment to creating loving environments for every child.
